Oily skin is typically the result of over-active sebaceous glands and is often thicker in texture. The skin is typically slick/oily to touch, has enlarged pores, blackheads and whiteheads. Individuals may experience a persistent feeling of oily skin, particularly in the T-zone area (forehead, nose, and chin). While genetics play a role, factors like hormonal fluctuations, climate, and lifestyle habits can also contribute to excess oil production.
